How to write an eblast newsletter
Eblasts are like email newsletters - but much simpler and text based only. Eblasts can be used as a simple marketing tool to reach out to a higher number and wider range of customers nationwide then any other media distribution. Eblasts can be a key marketing tool to promote new products or point out new key business interests or releases. Most business like to save money and time by writing short and simple eblast, if you like to go green - this is a perfect solution. Being limited to only using text - there are still ways to make the eblast look good, simple and very easy to find key points of interests.

Here are a few key point to follow for writing and formatting a fluid eblast letter:
1. Have your eblast stay to the integrity to the site's content and business focus. If people signed up for your eblast newsletter - they want to know any new and upcoming events, new business ideas, product specials etc.
2. If possible use power words that literally force people to act. For example adding links to sign up for classes or purchasing products.
3. Make the eblast short and very simple. Separate the different elements from each other by adding line breaks and line spacers. for example :

Schedule for this weekend: July 1- 10 ==============================

CLASS :: Friday 7:00 am Free Class with Jane.

This class focuses on supported poses that allow the body and mind to rest and heal.

4. Sending eblast no more then once a week - any more and people could consider you a 'spammer'.

A few industry eblast standards:
When the end user signs up for your eblast newsletter on the website - they will receive an email verifying the that they want to subscribe. This function is there to ensure the end user has given you permission to send them an eblast.
There should be no auto apt-in without the end users permission. If there is, then you would be spamming this individual.
Eblast will hide the entire list from all end users to ensure privacy.
All eblast should come with a 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of all eblast.
MediaStove has all these features automated.
